A familiar name, by design.
Why we’re called Blackacre
Blackacre is the property every attorney studies in law school. We're named after it because we respect the way you already work. It doesn't ask you to change anything. It just takes busywork off your plate.
Meet the team.
I'm building better tools for the people behind every closing.

I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in May 2026 with a degree in Computer Science. Blackacre isn't my first time building a business; I've built a lot, learned even more, and now I'm funneling everything into this venture.
The key takeaway from my studies is that tech buzzwords are plentiful, but genuinely useful products are rare. Specialized industries are too often last in line for tools like these, and I want Blackacre to help close that gap by making powerful technology practical and dependable.
For real estate law, that starts with respect. The value in a closing comes from the judgment of attorneys and paralegals, and Blackacre's job is to support it by taking repetitive work off their plates, bringing the right details forward, and knowing when to get out of the way.
Building Blackacre is serious work, but it's also incredibly fun, and I hope my joy sneaks through your screen while you're scrolling through our website or product.
My Computer Science degree did not, tragically, come bundled with a real estate law degree, so I'm always learning from the people who live this work every day. That curiosity is a big part of how Blackacre gets better. I'm always looking to chat and learn from anyone in the industry. Book a call below!
Let's chat.
I'd love to hear about your work, learn from your experience, and talk about what better software could look like.
